◆चतुर्थ पंचवर्षीय योजना की योजनावधि 1969-74 थी।
◆‘स्थायित्व के साथ विकास’ तथा ‘आर्थिक आत्मनिर्भरता की प्राप्ति’ इस योजना के दो मुख्य उद्देश्य थे।
◆इस योजना में ‘समाजवादी समाज की स्थापना’ को विशेष रूप से लक्षित किया गया था|
◆यह योजना अपने लक्षित वृद्धि दर को प्राप्त करने में असफलरही।
◆लक्षित वृद्धि दर में कमी होने का कारण मौसम की प्रतिकूलता एवं बांग्लादेशी शरणार्थियों का आगमन था।

◆The shortfall in the growth target was due to the adversity of climate and arrival of refugees from Bangladesh.
